FAQ · from the current data

Quick answers

What is the Closelook Lab?

A collection of tactical research tools built on the Closelook data stack — live dashboards, regime indicators, and rotation sensors covering macro, credit, sector rotation, market structure and the AI build-out. Each tool is a data surface in an investment research diary, not advice.

How many tools are in the Lab, and what do they cover?

29 tools in six groups: macro & regime (Money Temperature, Structural Inflation, Growth & Recession, Factor Regime, Sovereign Pressure, Rates X-Ray, AI Credit Stress Tape, Cointegration Monitor); market structure (Market X-Ray — Beta & Breadth, Sector Dispersion — Breadth vs the Sector, Ratio Chart, Lab Grid, Company Screener); sectors & rotation (Resource Markets, Global Sector Engine, Sector Rotation, SPDR Sector Relative Strength, Rubin Rotation Radar, The AI Handoff Board, Mag Pulse); ai build-out (AI Build-Out Index Family, Compute Spot Tightness — CCST, Taiwan AI Supply Pulse, Memory / HBM Pulse, Semicap / Test Pulse, AI-Order Signal Board, Agentic Demand Map); patterns & charts (Pattern Lab); visualisations (Bar Races).

How often do Lab tools update?

Most boards re-bake nightly after the US close (23:00–23:45 UTC) from the lake, the index workers and vendor series; macro monitors follow FRED release days; the Taiwan pulse follows monthly revenue prints; the Agentic Demand Map refreshes weekly. Every page states its own as-of date.

What scoring method do the Lab tools share?

Temperature-style tools apply the same 5-dimension framework: Position (30), Momentum (25), Volume (20), Volatility (15) and Fragility (10). Ranking and ratio tools are deterministic arithmetic on adjusted closes; each methodology page names its sources.
