TSMC — ranks 38th of 85 chip stocks on the month, beat revenue every time but moved just 2.7% after
The Closelooknet read
TSMC (TSM) is a stock whose earnings results barely steer it. On our Print Record (our log of how the stock traded after each earnings report) it moved 2.7% on average in either direction in the three sessions after each of its last ten reports, though it beat the revenue estimate all ten times and the EPS estimate nine times. Five of those reactions stayed within 3%, three fell more than 3% and two rose more than 3%. Over one month it ranks 38th of the 85 stocks in our chip section, so the new 52-week high is not a leadership signal in our ranking. What we watch: the report due 15 October, and whether the close three sessions later lands beyond 3% either way or stays inside that band again.
