Bitcoin takes 80,000 overnight — the level Monday's close refused — as SOXX holds 505 and XLK confirms a second close below its 50-day.
Bitcoin traded 80,484 as of the 05:06 UTC snapshot this morning, up 1.9% from Monday's close — above the 80,000 line the US session refused just hours earlier. Monday's cash close came in near 78,982, holding the 77,000 floor of the range this page has carried forward but stopping short of the round number above it. Asia's session overnight was otherwise quiet: the Nikkei added 0.26% to 65,698.92, Taiwan edged 0.03% higher to 44,777.06, while KOSPI eased 0.23% to 6,681.45 and Hang Seng slipped 0.25% to 25,453.19 — none of the sharp moves that have marked recent sessions. US futures sit mildly green, NQ at 29,198.00 against 29,105.75 (+0.32%) and ES at 7,676.50 against 7,669.75 (+0.09%), while gold futures eased 0.32% to 4,682.60 against 4,697.80.
