Catalogue · one definition, two renderings

The Catalogue — Research as Attributed, Dated, Billable Units

Everything closelook.net sells to people and machines, as listings that answer the same seven questions — what it helps you do, what you receive, who stands behind it, how current it is, what you may do with it, what it costs, and what happens when it changes. Agents read this very page as JSON (Accept: application/json); live listings buy per call over HTTP 402 with no account and no API key. The methods behind every product are public across the indices, stock pages and Lab.

Live Indices & Baskets

Index history + decomposition

$0.10 in USDC · $0.50 by card or Link — per call (one index)

What does it help me do?
Work with a Closelooknet index as data — backtest against it, chart it, or read how it is put together right now.
What exactly do I receive?
Every series of the index (headline, weighting variants, sub-indices) as a daily history since its base date, plus the current decomposition. Slugs: rubin, halo, euro-ai, aw40, agentic, ai-users.
Who stands behind it?
Closelooknet — own index methodology, computed by the house index workers; own derived values, no raw vendor prices.
How current is it?
Recomputed daily with each index run after the close; the response is dated.
What can I do with it?
Display to the paying user and internal research. Republication, redistribution and model training need a separate licence. Delivered as JSON over HTTPS.
What if it changes or errs?
The 402 answer is authoritative for price and methods at that moment. Unknown slugs and unavailable data are answered before the payment gate and never charged.

Live Data & Scores

Trader record depth

$0.05 in USDC · $0.50 by card or Link — per call (one subject)

What does it help me do?
Read everything Closelook Records holds on one trader, manager or fund — beyond the free catalogue card and hub twin.
What exactly do I receive?
The derived record bundle for one subject: the Closelook metric battery and rating, the complete 13F board from EDGAR (all positions, the full quarter-over-quarter rotation with counts, options overlay), rule-based famous-call standings and holder-level short-register matches. Closelook calculations and official-register facts only — never raw platform or vendor data. Slugs: the record catalogue at /records/index.json.
Who stands behind it?
Closelooknet — public facts quoted as shown at the named sources, official registers (SEC EDGAR, Bundesanzeiger, Finanstilsynet, House Clerk) and the published Closelook Rating methodology. Subjects have not contributed.
How current is it?
Refreshed nightly by the records scout (13F boards quarterly around filing deadlines); every block is dated.
What can I do with it?
Display to the paying user and internal research. Republication, redistribution and model training need a separate licence. Delivered as JSON over HTTPS.
What if it changes or errs?
The 402 answer is authoritative for price and methods at that moment. Unknown slugs, and subjects without depth data yet, are answered 404 before the payment gate and never charged.

Terms before buying: product terms · OpenAPI · agent skill · free discovery and reads through the MCP server. The 402 answer is authoritative — it lists exactly the methods and prices offered at that moment.

Eight product families — today's sections supply the first products

The catalogue is one commercial view over the site, not a second site. Every family starts from a surface that is live on closelook.net today; topic, coverage, contributor, update pattern and permitted use are filters across one catalogue.

In design — the structure ahead of the content

These listings are published as structure: what the product will be and which actions it will support. They carry no price and no endpoint until they open.

In design Curated & External

External research collection

What it will help you do
Receive a curated, annotated selection of outside research on a theme — chosen and contextualised, never republished without terms.
What it will contain
Annotated selections built from the Worth a Read desk; third-party content only under the applicable terms with its authors or publishers.
Who stands behind it
Closelooknet curation; external authors stay named and separately identified.

Planned actions: Search · Retrieve · Summarise

Actions — a second selectable layer over the content

A listing is the content; an action is what the system does with it. Only compatible actions appear per product — a static paper supports retrieve, search and compare; thesis monitoring needs linked observations and defined conditions.

ActionWhat the buyer instructs the system to doToday
Retrieve Deliver the item, current observation or historical snapshot Live — the HTTP 402 endpoints and the JSON twins on page URLs
Search Find relevant content across topics, providers or the catalogue Live — the free MCP server and the site search
Compare Compare companies, portfolios, research views or system outputs Live — comparison pages and side-by-side JSON twins
Monitor Track selected entities, indicators, portfolios or theses In design
Alert Notify when a specified event or condition occurs In design
Summarise Produce a brief with attribution and source links In design
Validate Check a claim against evidence; report support, contradictions, gaps In design
Report Deliver a recurring report of updates, changes and explanations In design

FAQ · from the current data

Quick answers

How does an agent buy a listing?

Send the POST request without payment. The answer is 402 Payment Required and names the price and every payment method offered at that moment: USDC on Tempo (MPP), USDC on Base (x402 v2 and MPP), USDC on Solana (MPP), or card and Link through a shared payment token. Pay with any of them, retry, and receive the data with a receipt. No account, no API key. Unknown tickers and unavailable data are answered before the payment gate and never charged.

What is live and what is "in design"?

Live listings are purchasable today — currently the index history and the company score depth. In-design listings are the catalogue structure ahead of the content: they show what the product will be and which actions it will support, and they carry no price and no endpoint until they open. The page says which is which on every listing.

What may I do with purchased data?

Display it to the paying user and use it for internal research. Republication, redistribution and model training need a separate licence. Everything sold here is a Closelooknet derived value — own scores, own indices, own reads — never raw vendor prices.

Is any of this investment advice?

No. Closelooknet publishes an investment diary: records of what was observed, computed and done, with the method stated. Nothing in the catalogue is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
