The Flip Inside Tech

The two lines we published Monday both answered yesterday: SOXX broke 554 and NVDA held 191. Samsung posted a record quarter and fell six percent — the earnings bar in action — while six of eleven US sectors closed green and our deployment index finished up on a −5% semi day. The day in ten.

Daily Pulse — The Flip Inside Tech

Sort the eleven sectors by driver, not by color. Energy's bid is news — strikes in the Strait of Hormuz again — on a month that is still deeply red. Health Care, Staples and Real Estate are the structural side: slow bids with near-universal breadth behind them. On one month, Technology is the worst sector and Health Care and Financials the best — and the new leaders' entire year happened in the last four weeks. The sharpest read sits inside tech: over the month, hardware held while software lagged; over the last five days it inverted violently — IT Services +10%, Software +5%, semis −6%. The flip inside tech is days old. Our own read, diary framing, not advice.
