Celestica +13%, Cadence +7%: Market Pays AI Suppliers

AI Suppliers — Celestica +13%, Cadence +7%, Amkor +6%: the market finally pays for a beat

After a week in which five big-tech reports beat and none was rewarded, Monday night's three reporters all open their three-session windows well above the pre-report close: Celestica +12.7% at 278.04, Cadence +7.0%, Amkor +5.6%. The neoclouds extend their reversal of Musk's die-off call — Nebius +11.2%, CoreWeave +7.7% — small-cap semis (XSD) gain 4.2%, momentum leads low volatility for a second straight session and the VIX slips to 17.6. The macro side surprised upward too: consumer confidence jumped to 91.7 against 81 expected, durable-goods orders rose 1.8%. Microsoft, Alphabet and ServiceNow set their entry lines at today's close, a day before they report after the Fed.

The ten lines

  1. 1

    UP Celestica

    CLS

Celestica — the contract manufacturer that assembles AI servers and rack systems for the hyperscalers — trades 12.7% higher at 278.04 after Monday night's report. That is below the roughly 288 it touched after hours, so some of the late-trading jump has been sold, but the stock still opens its three-session reaction window more than four times the 3% move we treat as a clear reward.

  2. 2

    UP Cadence and Amkor

    CDNS

Cadence, the chip-design software maker, gains 7.0% to 344.73 from Monday's 322.17 close — on day one of its graded window it sits well above the 331.84 line (3% over the pre-report close) that would mark the report as rewarded. Amkor, the chip packager, adds 5.6% to 38.87; the bounce leaves it far below its 50-day average near 49, so the report repairs the day, not the trend.

  4. 3

UP Neoclouds — the rebound extends

    NBIS

The AI cloud renters extend Monday's reversal of Musk's die-off post: Nebius +11.2% to 170.40, CoreWeave +7.7% to 59.45 on news it is adding capacity in Denmark, IREN +7.5%. Two sessions of buying do not settle the funding question we flagged yesterday — all three still trade far below their 50-day averages — but the equity market has now voted twice against the die-off call.

Today in line 11: why Monday night's three reporters getting paid on day one matters more than any single beat last week, where the money leaving Energy and the consultancies is going, and the one close on Wednesday that decides whether this is a rotation or a relief bounce.
