# Closelooknet paid data (HTTP 402)

Closelooknet (closelook.net) calculates its own values on the AI economy. The overview is free; the depth is sold per call to agents.

## How to buy

1. Send the request without payment. The answer is `402 Payment Required` with one `WWW-Authenticate: Payment` challenge per payment method, plus an x402 v2 `PAYMENT-REQUIRED` header for Base:

2. Pay with a client for one of these within your budget — an MPP client (see https://mpp.dev) or any x402 v2 client for Base (for example a Base-funded agent wallet) — then retry the request with the payment credential.
3. Receive the JSON data and a payment receipt (x402 clients also get a `PAYMENT-RESPONSE` header with the transaction).

The 402 is authoritative: it lists exactly the methods offered at that moment.

Unknown tickers (`404`) and temporarily unavailable data (`503`) are answered before the payment gate and are never charged.

- Values are end-of-day and refresh nightly after the US close; every response carries its date. Quote the date with the value.
- Purchased data may be shown to the paying user, used for internal research and stored with the purchase. Republication, redistribution to third parties, embedding for other users and model training need a separate licence.
