neutral Temperature 62/100

Money Temperature composite 62 on Friday's closes — the warm side of neutral in a week chips led and the average stock fell, and by its own construction not a signal.

One book traded this week, and it traded one line. The derivatives book sold a new Cloudflare put on Monday, the September-2027 250, for 3,510 dollars of premium. It replaces the June-2027 280 put that the same book bought back last Thursday for a 1,680 gain: 30 dollars lower, three months longer.

Hypergrowth, Global Tech 50 and Global ETFs logged dividend reinvestments and nothing else, and AI Build-Out logged nothing at all. After the Saturday of one book being paid to wait, this was the Saturday of the book being paid again for the same wait.

The put first. Cloudflare closed last Friday at 323.60, jumped 8.7 percent on Monday to 351.67 and finished this Friday at 349.02, up 7.9 percent on the week. The new put obliges the book to buy 100 shares at 250 until 17 September 2027, 28 percent under Friday's close.

The premium recorded is 35.11 a share, 3,510 dollars after a one-dollar fee, so the book only loses money on the line if Cloudflare is below 214.89 at expiry, 38 percent under where it trades now. The log carries the option at the quote Barchart recorded when it was entered, not a live tick. By Friday's close the put was marked at 29.15, 595 dollars in the book's favour.

Set the two puts side by side and the trade explains itself. The old one was sold at the money three weeks ago, at 280 for 55.20, when the book was willing to own Cloudflare at the price it traded. The new one is sold well out of the money, at 250 for 35.11, after the stock ran 25 percent above the old strike.

Less pay, more distance, more time: the book still wants to be paid for agreeing to own Cloudflare, but now only after a fall of more than a quarter. Across the two puts it has banked 1,680 dollars and holds 3,510 more against an obligation 30 dollars lower. Hypergrowth, for its part, owns 100 Cloudflare shares under a short December-2026 250 call that is now 99 dollars in the money, so the house is long the stock in one book and paid to buy more of it in another.

The reinvestments, line by line. Global ETFs added 1.04 shares of its non-US fund VEU on Tuesday, now 452.30, 0.17 of the tech fund XLK on Wednesday, now 150.17, and on Friday 0.24 of the momentum fund SPMO and 0.10 of the Nasdaq 100 fund QQQM; that is the book's tenth consecutive week without a transaction. Global Tech 50 added 0.48 ADRs of SUMCO, the Japanese wafer maker, on Wednesday, now 250.48; the line closed Friday at 39.83, up 3.2 percent on the week and still 26 percent under what the book paid. On Friday it added 4.07 Rolls-Royce ADRs the same way, now 1,008.14.

Hypergrowth picked up 0.48 Qualcomm shares on Thursday, a dividend on the line it sold two weeks ago: the shares were still held on the record date, so the payment arrived after they were gone and bought a fraction back. Two more lines appear in the daily holdings feed this week, 0.44 shares of the Nasdaq top-30 fund and 0.49 of the US top-20 fund in Global ETFs; the feed runs a session late, and the log dates both to last Friday, so they belong to last Saturday's entry, not this one.

Where the recent fills stood at this Friday's close, said plainly. Nebius, bought back at 212.19 last Monday and sold at 225.56 the Friday before, closed at 237.33, 11.8 percent above the buy-back and 5.2 percent above the sale; the two January-2028 250 calls over it are now only 5 percent out of the money. Micron, sold in full at 976.00, closed at 1,082.28, 10.9 percent above the sale, and Qualcomm, sold at 183.74, closed at 201.97, 9.9 percent above it.

Last week this column called the Qualcomm sale right on the week; this week it is not, and both chip sales now look early. Lumentum closed at 941.65, 0.6 percent over its 935.70 fill, and SpaceX at 148.68, 0.3 percent over 148.18.

The calls written last Monday have narrowed. Rocket Lab rose 14.5 percent on the week to 73.95, 8 percent under its 80 strike; Corning closed at 156.74, 5 percent under 165; Nubank at 13.59 is still 25 percent under 17. The five ASE calls at 40 are 4.31 dollars in the money with the stock at 44.31.

The week those books sat through: the chip index SOXX rose 7.4 percent and the Nasdaq 100 3.2 percent, while the equal-weight S&P fell 0.6 percent and small caps 0.7. The 30-year Treasury yield closed Friday at 5.50 percent, its highest since 2004. Rubin Build-Out 100 ended the week 5.1 percent higher, Euro-AI 50 1.8 percent higher, HALO 100 0.2 percent higher and Agentic Winners 40 flat. Prices quoted are Friday's closes; the executed fills sit in the log, line by line.

The four wikifolios that run alongside these books keep their own public ledgers: every transaction in Closelooknet, AI Cycle 2030, ETF Generation and The Compound is visible on wikifolio itself, trade by trade. How the vehicles work, and who the issuer is, lives on the Trade the Look page. Nothing here is a recommendation and none of it is advice: it is the log of what this diary's books actually did between last Friday's close and this one's. The full ledger, newest first, is on the signals page.
