Rack (Server Rack)
The physical unit housing servers in a data center; AI rack densities run 10-25x traditional power levels.
A Rack is the standardized physical enclosure that houses servers, switches, and storage in a data center. AI racks run power densities 10-25x higher than traditional racks, with NVIDIA's GB200 NVL72 packaging an entire 72-GPU system into one liquid-cooled rack. The rack has become the unit of AI system design, sold and deployed as an integrated whole rather than as loose servers. See Power Constraint 101.
