Coverage subject

Cathie Wood · Founder & CIO · ARK Investment Management

Most famous investors are graded against quarterly filings that arrive 45 days late. ARK Invest is the exception: Cathie Wood's active ETFs disclose every trade daily, by choice — which makes ARK the only large active manager whose record can be followed at the cadence of the decisions themselves.

Why the stream matters more than any single trade

A daily, fund-verified trade stream is structurally the same thing our own trade log is: dated actions in real products, gradable against what prices did next. It is the standard we apply to platform traders in our wider record work — and ARK meets it involuntarily well, because the disclosure is built into the product's marketing.

Two recent entries from that record, as reported by trade-tracking coverage: in mid-June 2026, ARK trimmed 44,488 Tesla shares — roughly $18.3 million — from its flagship ARKK fund; in August, after SpaceX-related valuations reset, ARK added 181,830 SpaceX shares, about $20 million, across four of its funds. Both figures come from secondary trackers of ARK's own disclosures; the primary source is ARK's daily trade notification service, and we cite the trades as reported.

How we will grade it

A stream is graded cumulatively, not once: disclosed buys and sells tracked against subsequent prices over fixed windows, the way our Print Record grades earnings reactions. The planned next step is a dedicated board fed from the daily disclosures — ARK's own files make that possible without any agreement, subject to their published terms of use, which we will verify before anything is republished.

This is coverage, not endorsement: ARK and Cathie Wood have not contributed to this page. The interest here is methodological — the most transparent large fund on the market deserves the most systematic grading, and the same transparency standard is what we ask of every trader in our own record work.
